Welcome to the SprintPCS-sucks Blog. I started this Blog as a method to relieve a little stress, vent some frustration, effect some action against Sprint PCS cellular service, and hopefully entertain. You can post anonymous comments or you can register for an account.

Subject: My happy Sprint story
Posted by: libracolo

Actually I was very happy with Sprint for over 5 years. I've always paid my account on time, have almost never had to call customer service. Then on July 4th after seeing Dan Hesse's ads on TV and being inundated with all the commercials and hype over the new Instinct phone, I decided to upgrade my phone and try it out. I went to the Sprint store in Denver (Park Meadows) and proceeded to ask about the Instinct. I asked alot of questions, two of them being "Are there any known issues with this phone" and will it work with Comcast email? I was told there were no issues with the phone (everyone loves them) and yes, the phone works with all email accounts. Great, sign me up. Oh and by the way, the only plan with this phone is the Simply Everything plan, or as I like to call it now, Simply Suckered plan. Now here is where the fun begins. After 30 days (actually it was 32), all of a sudden when I try to get my home email, or try to get the latest weather updates, or hell, when I try to go to CNN, all I get is Sorry, you can't access the Sprint Mobile Broadband service. So now I start calling Customer Service. Well, I could spend all day and night relaying the number of times and number of just plain idiots that I spoke with. The long and short of it is, apparently there is some kind of pissing contest with Comcast and Comcast will no longer let Sprint customers access their email over their phones. And then to make life really fun, now the reps tell you, sorry, noone promised that email would work, you are paying the 99.00 plan for what you get, period. Apparently the store knew about the issues with Comcast, because when I went back to the store and spoke with the store manager, Jeff Stander, he basically said, too bad, so sad. We are not required to disclose those issues with customers. Really???? BTW, I have already filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office in Colorado, my guess the AG's office is not going to think like they do. Oh, and then for grins I asked for a credit on the account for the service outage. His response? Can you make and receive calls? Of course I can. Well then no credit needed. So the Simply Everything plan, is simply everything you can not possibly get, but thank you for your money, we'll keep taking it.

I have sent a letter to every Sprint board member, I have filed a complaint with the AG's office. But here is my last question, if there are this many more of me, who have a legitimate, documented complaint with Sprint, perhaps we should get together, hire counsel and bring about a class action lawsuit to finally end the madness once and for all that is currently known as SPRINT.
